Today's Homework for Miss Keller's Math Students:
Study Links 3-8; due Monday

HALLOWEEN PARTY TOMORROW = Please do not wear costumes to school, costumes must be put on in class before the party (not in the bathroom) and do not wear makeup. We will have class until 9:10, go to music from 9:10-9:40, prepare for our Halloween party, and it will begin at 10am.

ABSENT STUDENTS = Assignment sheets have been filled out and put in your desk if you would like to come in after school and get your work. Also, you will take the S.S. vocab. quiz tomorrow if you were absent Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday (study vocab. cards).

To be made up:
1. Read ch. 1 and 2 of Stone Fox, make vocab. cards for ch 1 and 2 (words are listed on the rubric sheet in the packet) and complete pages 1, 2, and 3 in the Stone Fox packets.
2. S.S. worksheets (in your desk if you did not request work to be sent home)
2. Don't forget to turn in last weeks reading minutes when you get back. New reading minutes are due on Monday, Nov. 2nd

ABSENT STUDENTS = Assignment sheets have been filled out and put in your desk if you would like to come in after school and get your work. Also, you will take the S.S. vocab. quiz tomorrow if you were absent Monday and Tuesday (study vocab. cards).
To be made up:

Today's Homework for Homeroom Students:
Students should study for the vocab quiz on Monday in Social Studies. Vocab. cards were made in class to study from. The words are: history, culture, region, custom, ancestor, immigrant, slavery, heritage, and ethnic group.

Coming next week.....

Reading: Next week will start a new book in Reading called Stone Fox. Students will be given packets to fill in daily similar to the Sarah, Plain and Tall packets. After finishing the book in class students will be expected to turn in the packets completed for a reading grade. We will read from the book and work in the packets daily in class.

Science quiz tomorrow!
Know the following (we reviewed this list in class as well):
1. Paper takes up the most space in a landfill
2. Be able to name three things we can recycle
3. Know that when there is an oil spill, the oil pollutes the soil and water
4. It is not a good idea to throw away aluminum cans because it takes up landfill space and can be recycled
5. What is the difference between a landfill and a dump (refer to “What a Dump” article)
Know the following terms: (review them using your Science book if you are not sure)

Packaging
